Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.)

School of Engineering

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is designed to develop advanced computing professionals capable of building, deploying, and managing modern software systems. The programme combines software engineering, cloud computing, distributed systems, database technologies, system architecture, and application development with hands-on exposure to contemporary software engineering practices.

Students gain practical experience in designing scalable applications, managing cloud-native infrastructure, implementing DevOps workflows, and developing enterprise-grade software solutions. Through project-based learning, industry engagement, and advanced technical training, graduates are prepared to contribute to software product companies, technology consulting firms, startups, and digital transformation initiatives across industries.

Eligibility Criteria

  • BCA/ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree or B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at l0+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of the concerned University).
  • Need to clear the CUPP entrance exam with above 50% score.
  • 60% aggregate marks in the undergraduate examinations.
Chanakya Edge
  • Strong foundation in software engineering, system architecture, databases, distributed computing, cloud platforms, and enterprise application development.
  • Curriculum aligned with modern software development practices including cloud-native architectures, DevOps, microservices, containerization, and scalable system design.
  • Limited memory-based assessments, with evaluation focused on software development projects, architecture design challenges, deployment workflows, and industry-oriented capstone projects.
  • Hands-on learning through full-stack application development, cloud deployment, distributed systems implementation, and enterprise software engineering projects.
  • Exposure to modern software engineering tools and practices including containerization, CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure management, and application lifecycle management.
  • Ability Enhancement Courses (AECs) delivered by industry professionals, providing exposure to current technologies, workflows, and software development methodologies.
  • Opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary projects spanning Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Geoinformatics, and Enterprise Systems.
  • Strong pathway to leadership roles in technology organizations, entrepreneurship, and advanced research in computing disciplines.
