M.C.A., BMSCE, BengaluruMy research interest lies in the evolving and dynamic field of cybersecurity. Although I am currently at the early stages of exploring this domain, I have developed a strong inclination toward understanding how secure systems are built, protected, and maintained in an increasingly connected digital world. Coming from a background in programming, web development, and database systems, I have begun to realize the critical importance of embedding security considerations at every level of system design and development. As I deepen my understanding, I am particularly curious about how common vulnerabilities arise in everyday applications, and how foundational principles such as encryption, secure authentication, access control, and data protection are implemented in real-world systems.
Currently, I am focused on expanding my knowledge through self-paced learning, academic literature, and hands-on practice in areas such as secure web application development, network security basics. These explorations are helping me form a foundation for future research.
My long-term research objective is to contribute to the design and development of secure, efficient, and scalable computing systems. I am especially interested in exploring how lightweight security mechanisms can be integrated into open-source platforms, and how threat modelling and risk assessment techniques can be applied during early software development stages.
While I continue to build my expertise, my immediate goal is to identify interdisciplinary research opportunities that bridge programming, web technologies, and cybersecurity. I hope to eventually work on projects that focus on both the technical and ethical dimensions of digital security.
Mulla Arshiya has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at Chanakya University since May 2025. Her academic interests in programming, web development, cybersecurity, and foundational computing skills. She is passionate about teaching through hands-on and practical approaches, encouraging learners to build a strong base in core computing concepts.
During her postgraduate studies, she actively engaged in academic projects focused on real-world applications. Her research paper titled “Grey Water Reuse: A Solution for Urban Water Management” reflects her interest in interdisciplinary solutions using technology. She is also exploring the field of cybersecurity, with a growing focus on secure web application design and responsible coding practices.
Arshiya continues to pursue academic and professional development through certifications, research reading, and interactive teaching strategies. Her goal is to contribute to high-quality computer science education while expanding her research in emerging areas like cybersecurity.
She currently teaches core subjects in programming and web technologies and is also involved in smart classroom practices to enhance student engagement and understanding.
