The centre conducts research on some of the above themes and also relates to the humans and their experience for sustainability. The centre has a clear focus on utilizing contemporary technologies including space tech for addressing specific solutions for given problems related to various sub themes of natural resources…….
Sustainability of Natural Resources to address improved quality of life.
Research on Technologies and Processes to protect & conserve natural resources with the goal of achieving sustainable livelihoods.

Soil and Agriculture Systems in diverse agro-climatic conditions;
Water resources management in both urban and rural setup;
Biomass and Carbon related studies, including Blue Carbon in coastal regions;
Emphasis on traditional knowledge for sustainability;
Behavioral sustainability rooted in Indian Knowledge System.
