School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Welcome to the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

You will find here a very refreshing and a very deep engagement with society, culture, literature, art and technology. The humanities and the social sciences are emerging as an integrative force in the modern world and the modern workplace. Technology firms are looking for arts graduates to build human-centred design, institutions are looking for chroniclers and historians, governments are looking for policy analysts, the social sector is looking for impactful solutions, and the media is looking for people who can build crucial perspectives on complex issues. Even while opening up to the future, we are looking into the founts of knowledge from our pasts that can be made to work for our contemporary concerns and contexts. Contemporary arts graduates occupy a special niche: they know their history, economic theory, and literary criticism, but are also adept at technology and data analysis and visualisation. They can interpret complex messages coded in multiple mediums: verbal, visual, oral, numerical and many more. At the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences in Chanakya, we are sure you will discover an emerging world of possibilities for the Arts.
