About

The BBA LLB degree program is an integrated five-year course that combines the study of law and business administration. The objective of the program is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of legal and business concepts, with an emphasis on Indian knowledge systems (IKS).

During the first three years of the program, students study core business subjects such as financial accounting, marketing management, and organizational behaviour. The legal aspects of the course include constitutional law, the law of contracts, and torts. Students are also introduced to the Indian legal system, culture, and ethics.

In the final two years of the program, students delve deeper into legal and business topics, such as securities law, corporate law, and intellectual property rights. Additionally, students are required to complete a legal internship and a research project in their final year.

The emphasis on Indian knowledge systems in the program helps students develop a unique perspective on the study of law and business. By studying IKS, students can gain an appreciation for the cultural and historical context of legal and business practices in India. This provides a deeper understanding of the legal framework and its implications on business practices in India. Overall, the BBA LLB program provides students with a solid foundation in both law and business, with a special focus on IKS.

The BBA. LLB. program with an option of an Honours course is a distinctive academic offering, integrating business administration and law in a single course of study. This interdisciplinary program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and their application in a business context. Additionally, students are given the opportunity to undertake an Honours course, which enables them to specialize in a specific area of legal practice, such as Business law or intellectual property law, International Law, Cyber and Data Protection Law, and Intellectual Property Rights.
