Prof. B. Mahadevan

Prof. B. Mahadevan is a distinguished Professor of Operations Management at the Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru, with nearly three decades of experience in teaching, research, consulting, and academic leadership. Over his career, he has been associated with premier institutions such as IIM Bengaluru, IIT Delhi, and XLRI, Jamshedpur, contributing significantly to management education and practice.

Professor Mahadevan served as the Founder Vice‑Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, a unique university dedicated to applied Sanskrit and Indian knowledge systems. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College, USA.

His research interests lie at the intersection of ancient Indian wisdom and modern management, including spirituality in the workplace, leadership and decision‑making frameworks from the Bhagavad Gita, and alternative management paradigms rooted in Indian epistemology.
