Chanakya University Celebrates India’s 77th Independence Day with Air Marshal Satish Pal Singh as Guest of Honour

Chanakya University in Bengaluru marked India’s 77th year of independence with a historic celebration at the Global Campus in Haraluru, Devanahalli, Bengaluru Rural District. The event was graced by the presence of Air Marshal Satish Pal Singh, a distinguished military officer and the recipient of both the Athi Visisht Seva Medal and the Param Visisht Seva Medal, who served as the Guest of Honour.

Dr. Bhavani MR, the Director of Student Affairs at Chanakya University, welcomed the attendees and provided a glimpse into the illustrious career and significant contributions of Air Marshal Satish Pal Singh. His remarkable roles in Operation Pavan and Operation Safed Sagar were highlighted, showcasing his dedication to the nation.

After the unfurling of the Indian Tricolour, Air Marshal Satish Pal Singh delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of always upholding Indian pride while fulfilling the Fundamental Duties outlined in the Constitution of India. He encouraged the current generation of learners to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence and urged them to strive for excellence in their respective fields.

Prof. Yashavantha Dongre, the Vice Chancellor of Chanakya University, then delivered the Presidential Remarks. He shed light on Chanakya University’s strategic commitment to providing not only quality education but also empowering young minds for successful careers and lives.

The highlight of the event was the felicitation of Air Marshal Satish Pal Singh by Sri Nagaraj Reddy, the Chief Operating Officer of Chanakya University. Other esteemed members of the faculty and staff, including Dr. Sandeep Nair, Registrar Evaluation; Sri Sujiban Ghosh, Chief Financial Officer; and Sri Arun Kumar, Director of Admissions, Dr. Vinayachandra Banavathy, Director, Communications were also in attendance.

The event culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing the unity and patriotism that underscored the entire celebration.
