M. Sc. Psychology

Eligibility Criteria  

  • A bachelor’s degree with minimum of 55 percent or 6.0 CGPA
  • A strong inclination towards the field of psychology

The Psychology program aims at providing critical practical and theoretical exposure to students in areas of cognitive psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, bio psychology, clinical psychology, counselling psychology. The curriculum is application-oriented and stresses on the mastery of basic principles of psychological principles and theories. The emphasis of the program is to expose students to advanced concepts, developments and techniques in the realm of psychology.

Programme Highlights

Psychology is an evolving scientific field which aims at application of psychological principles and theories to real life situations. Such knowledge structures can aid in analyzing psychological problems, designing intervention strategies, and engaging in cutting edge research across varied domains of human activities. Scientific understanding of psychological knowledge can solve practical problems in areas of mental health, organizational setup, education, health, ergonomics, law and related disciplines.

The M.Sc. Psychology is a two-year post-graduation program which offers application orientated learning with a well curated learning pedagogy. The students will be accumulating a total of 80 credits. These credits comprise of courses from discipline core, open electives, Chanakya foundation, and competency courses.
