Chanakya Merit cum Means Scholarship 2024-25

Eligibility Criteria

Indicative Financial Eligibility Slab:

Less than 3 Lakhs per Annum: 100%
3-6 Lakhs Per Annum: 75%
6-8 Lakhs Per Annum: 50%

Academic Eligibility:

Consistent academic performance (85% and above in 10th and 12th grades)

CSET Performance:

Students must score 50% and above in the Chanakya Scholarship Eligibility Test

Criteria for shortlisting students

  • SSLC/10th Score in Percentage: 10%
  • Writeup/SOP (Language: English): 10%
  • PUC/12th Score in Percentage: 10%
  • CSET Score: 35%
  • Personal Interview Score: 35%

* Background verification will be done by the designated representative of the university. 

Application Process

  • Interested candidates will submit their academic transcripts along with a detailed statement outlining their financial situation.
  • A scholarship committee will thoroughly review applications, considering both academic achievements and financial need.
  • Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview to assess their suitability for the scholarship.

Detailed Process

  • Register and complete the Application: Students shall register and fill out the application available through NPF, and upload the required documents (Marks sheets, Aadhar card, Income certificate).
  • Upload a short write-up or SOP: Students should upload a letter of motivation/purpose describing their aspirations and need for Chanakya Scholarship. This can be supported by a letter of recommendation from the College Principal.
  • Documentation verification: Once the student is eligible, the internal team shall connect with the student and verify the uploaded data. Those who fulfill all the aforementioned criteria will be eligible to take the entrance test.
  • Take Chanakya Scholarship Entrance Test (CSET): CSET shall be conducted through MeritTrac. Students scoring above 50% in the entrance test will be shortlisted for the interview round.
  • Online Interviews: A 3-membered panel for each school to be constituted for conducting online interviews for students. This may be for 1 or 2 rounds based on the performance of the student and the recommendation of the interview panel.
  • Background/house verification: A dedicated team shall visit the student’s house and collect the required documents as per the format requirement.
  • On-campus engagement: Students qualifying all the steps will be invited for on-campus engagement with the Deans of the School.
  • Shortlisted students’ names will be declared on the website.
  • Letter of confirmation sent to students, followed by completion of the admission process with a week time for a student to join.

Schedule

  • CSET Portal will be closed on 30th June 2024
  • Scholarship panel interviews: 1st June 2024 onwards
  • Merit List Declaration/ Announcement of Awardees: By 2nd Week of July
  • Letter of confirmation: 12th July-15th July

After the letter of confirmation, the student is expected to join at the earliest.
