B. Sc. Physics

Eligibility Criteria  

Must have passed the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) from any recognised Board in India with Mathematics / Physics as one of the subjects and with 55% or a CGPA of 7.

The programme is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of Physics complete with its Mathematical apparatus. Emphasis will be placed on Experimental and computational skills.

All programmes in the school have three courses / credits components – Chanakya Foundations (all students of CU must take), School Core (which is a must for all students at the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) and Discipline core (which are specific for specific majors). Original Texts from Indian Knowledge Systems wherever relevant will be offered as courses.

Independent projects / research work / internship at renowned institutes or well-known companies for specific number of credits are encouraged during the 3rd / 4th years for the UG.

Three streams are open to all graduating students of the school – Higher education or Academic career or entering an Industry. The students will be counselled at the beginning of their penultimate year of the programme as to their final year course / project / internship / competitive exams depending on their ability / orientation.

Regular programmes / lectures / interactive sessions will be organised featuring eminent persons from Academics / Industry / Entrepreneurs / Policy makers.
