Theatre Plays: Daive Manushya Rupena and Chaitanya Neeti

In early July 2025, the School of Engineering at Chanakya University staged two original theatrical productions as part of the 3-credit interdisciplinary elective course, Indian Theatre, under the mentorship of Dr. Rajashri. These performances reflected the university’s vision of holistic education, blending arts, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), and technical learning.

On 2nd July, students of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence presented “Daive Manushya Rupena.” The play explored the symbolic geometry of mandalas and the wisdom of ancient Indian cosmology. Beginning with a dystopian mission to save the planet, the narrative unfolded into a spiritual and scientific journey, decoding the deeper meanings of India’s knowledge traditions. The production was widely praised for its originality, creativity, and seamless integration of arts with technology.

The following day, on 3rd July, students from Mechanical, Electronics, and other branches performed “Chaitanya Neeti.” Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Acharya Chanakya, the play highlighted the relevance of his strategic insights in addressing contemporary societal challenges. Through compelling performances, students showcased how values and statecraft from the past can inform solutions for the present.

Both productions stood as vivid examples of the NEP 2020 vision in action—nurturing engineers who are not only problem-solvers but also storytellers, reflective thinkers, and culturally rooted leaders. Together, they embodied Chanakya University’s commitment to creating future-ready graduates who seamlessly integrate innovation with tradition.
