Chanakya University, in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation India, hosted the SABHA – Parliamentary Board Game Competition on 21 November 2025, offering school students an immersive introduction to democratic decision-making. The event brought together 74 students and faculty members from 15 Bengaluru schools.
The day began with registrations and a short inaugural gathering. Participants first attempted a screening quiz on Civics, Polity, Governance, and General Knowledge, coordinated by the CSEP team to ensure fair selection for the main SABHA round.
The core activity—the SABHA Board Game—was facilitated by Mr. Deepak Dhawan and supported by trained student volunteers across eight game boards. Students assumed the role of legislators, debating issues, negotiating alliances, and attempting to pass bills. Winners received a ₹5,000 prize per board.
Parallel sessions in Psychology and Economics engaged non-participants, while accompanying faculty toured the campus. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony, marking a successful and enriching outreach initiative.
