The School of Management Sciences, in association with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Karnataka Chapter, launched the NIPM Student Chapter on 8th November 2025. The event marked a significant step towards strengthening the collaboration between academia and industry in the field of human resource management.
The Inaugural programme began with a welcome address and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the formal commencement of the event. The Past Chairman of NIPM Karnataka Chapter Mr Dinesh AU, Director HR, Admin & CSR, Rittal Pvt. Ltd and Past Chairman – NIPM KC addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of professional development and networking through NIPM. This was followed by a presentation by the Mr Nagaraj G, Senior HR – BIAL and Chairperson of the Institute Interface Committee, NIPM Karnataka Chapter, who elaborated on the student chapter objectives, benefits, and student engagement initiatives.
The newly appointed office bearers of the Student Chapter were introduced and took an oath to uphold the values and objectives of NIPM. The presentation of the Student Chapter Plaque to the Chanakya University officially signified the establishment of the chapter. A special address by Prof. Rajendra K Bandi Professor Retd) and former Dean of IIM Bangalore highlighted the micro and macro aspects of human resource management in the contemporary era. The event concluded with a session on Industry Mentorship by Mr. Lalit Suresh, who shared valuable insights on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.
The inauguration successfully laid the foundation for fostering a culture of professional excellence, leadership, and industry collaboration among students.
