Dr. Amanjot Singh, DBT–Wellcome Trust India Alliance Intermediate Fellow at the Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine, MAHE, visited the School of Biosciences and delivered a seminar titled “Misfolded Proteins, Aggregates, and Dying Neurons: The Link Between Protein Synthesis and Neurodegeneration.”
Dr. Amanjot shared valuable insights on how protein folding influences aging, stress, and neurodegenerative disorders. He discussed various syndromes associated with stress granule aggregation within cells and presented highlights from his research, which explores the molecular mechanisms underlying the formation of these granules using advanced, multi-disciplinary approaches.
