The Chanakya Moot Court Society (CMCS) successfully hosted the Intra-Moot Court Competition on 22 November, following the Researchers’ Test held on the previous day. Designed as a two-step evaluation, the event first assessed participants’ research skills and then their advocacy abilities in a simulated courtroom setting.
Twenty teams participated, putting forward well-prepared memorials and structured arguments that reflected their growing interest in mooting and experiential legal learning. Ten distinguished judges—including advocates from reputed law firms and experienced practitioners—evaluated the rounds, offering students valuable insights drawn from real-world legal practice.
Proceedings were held across five court halls, each arranged to recreate the atmosphere of an actual courtroom. Teams argued both petitioner and respondent positions across two sessions, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives and courtroom etiquette.
The competition also served as the selection platform for identifying students who will represent Chanakya University in upcoming state and national moot court tournaments, marking an important step in strengthening the university’s advocacy culture.
