The School of Commerce and Management, Chanakya University, conducted the first Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Case Analysis” on 20 May 2023. About 70 faculty members from various colleges and universities participated in the program.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Yashvantha Dongre – Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Chanakya University; along with Dr Sushant Joshi – Registrar, Chanakya University.
The Guest of Honour was Dr. Muralidhar – Professor, Government First Grade College, Kolar, and Member of the Expert Committee on Vocationalization of Commerce Education – Karnataka State Knowledge Commission; Member of Board of Studies and Faculty of Commerce, Bengaluru North University, Member of Text Books Selection Committee, Government of Karnataka; Chairman for the committee on Preparation of Position paper on Linkage between School Education and Higher Education constituted by DSERT, Government of Karnataka; Chief Mentor of Academic Research Group- An academic oriented research body; and President of Bengaluru North University Teachers’ Council of Commerce & Management.
The program was spread over three sessions. Dr. V. Rajesh Kumar – Dean at Chanakya University’s School of Commerce and Management held the first two sessions in which the participants were oriented about the approach of Analysing a Case.
There were also three exclusive tracks viz. Accounting & Finance, Management, and Marketing; in which participants were given exposure to the cases in related domains by Dr.Rajesh Kumar along with Dr. Anilkumar Garag (Professor at the School of Commerce and Management), Dr Bhavani (Assistant Professor at the School of Commerce and Management), and Dr Sushant respectively.
Prof. Sai Swaroopa Iyer (Assistant Professor – School of Commerce and Management) Ms. Shruthi Joshi (Assistant Professor – School of Commerce and Management) and Sri Praphulla Chandra (Assistant Professor – School of Commerce and Management), conceptualised and executed the program.
All the participants, including various Heads of Departments, Principals, Deans and Directors provided feedback; along with requesting more programs in the near future interspersed with regular interactions (with Chanakya University).
