Blood Donation Camp

The Centre for Social Impact organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Ramaiah Leena Hospital, Devanahalli. The initiative brought together students, faculty, and staff in a collective act of service to the community.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, resulting in the collection of 71 units of blood, with 62 students and 9 faculty and staff members contributing.

A professional medical team from Ramaiah Leena Hospital ensured the safety and quality of the process through hemoglobin testing, blood pressure monitoring, and detailed medical history checks for every donor. They also conducted informative sessions on the life-saving importance of blood donation, adding educational value to the initiative.

Pre-event preparations, including posters, digital campaigns, and classroom announcements, effectively mobilized donors and ensured smooth operations on the day of the camp. Feedback highlighted strong appreciation for the initiative, along with suggestions for more frequent camps, longer donation windows, and additional health check services.

The success of this camp has inspired the Centre for Social Impact to consider institutionalizing quarterly blood donation drives and exploring partnerships with other healthcare providers to expand reach and impact. The initiative reflects the University’s commitment to community engagement, student development, and social responsibility.
