International Conference on Temples Management: Historical, Functional and Futuristic Perspectives
Temples are nerve centres that not only provide spiritual support but have also served as hubs for knowledge generation and thriving local economies. The management of temples has varied between local communities, royal families, other patrons including the State, creating various models that ensure the upkeep of the temples and regularity of functions. There are also temples that have collapsed due to lack of a such structural mechanisms. Have temples retreated from being dynamic socio-economic-spiritual- cultural hubs of action to only places of spiritual and religious activity? Recent decades have witnessed a concerted effort to revive the dynamics of temples as providers of harmony among communities, and this unique event attempts to showcase the same!
