Sri M.P. Kumar is a seasoned entrepreneur and industry leader with deep expertise in building and scaling technology companies with a strong emphasis on social responsibility and cultural values. He is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Global Edge Software Ltd., established in 1992, a leading embedded software and solutions company with over 1,200 employees, operating from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Milpitas, USA. A hands‑on technology professional, he has previously worked with organizations including Ultra Business Machines (UBM), Srujana Technology, and KSSIDC, and holds a postgraduate degree in science from Bangalore University.
With over three decades of IT industry experience, Mr. Kumar is an Angel Investor and mentor to several technology and social‑impact startups. His strengths include company creation, venture funding, board leadership, mergers, and IP incubation for global licensing. He has served on key government bodies such as the Karnataka Vision Group, State Innovation Council, and e‑Governance Task Force, and is actively associated with NASSCOM, TiE Bengaluru, ISA, and the Indian Angel Network.
