Dr. D. S. Krishna is a respected social‑sector leader, and policy contributor, currently serving as President of Sparsha Trust, an organisation dedicated to child welfare and social development. Coming from a humble rural background, he completed his early education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and a PhD from the University of Mysore.
Dr. Krishna has extensive experience in education policy and social development, and has actively contributed to state‑ and national‑level seminars that have informed public policy in the education sector. He earlier served as a Syndicate Member of Bangalore University, where his initiatives for supporting underprivileged students gained wide recognition. He has also been associated with the governing councils of several prominent educational institutions in Bengaluru and currently serves on the Board of Management of Chanakya University, guiding policy and statutory matters.
