National Level Poetry Competition in Sanskrit and Kannada
We are delighted to announce the most awaited results of Kārttika Kāvya Dīpotsava- the National Level Poetry Competition- a unique contest dedicated for metrical (Chandobaddha Padyam) compositions in Sanskrit and Kannada.
The response to the competition has been truly encouraging. We received a total of 39 poetic works, comprising 16 compositions in Sanskrit and 23 compositions in Kannada. The range, depth, and literary sensitivity reflected in these submissions affirm the continuing vitality of classical poetry in contemporary times.
The evaluation process was carried out with great care and scholarly rigour by an eminent jury and the eminent jury was headed by:
- Śatāvadhānī Dr. R. Ganesh.

- Sri Shashikiran B N
We express our sincere gratitude to the jury for their time, insight, and thoughtful assessment of the entries.
We are happy to place on record our appreciation of all the participants, whose creative engagement and commitment to classical poetic forms made this endeavour meaningful and memorable.
Along with the announcement of results, we are pleased to inform that a Kavigoṣṭhī (poets’ gathering) will be organised, where prize-winners will be felicitated and participants will have an opportunity to come together, interact and reflect on their works in a shared literary space. The dates for the Kavigoṣṭhī will be announced shortly, tentatively scheduled for the third week of February 2026.
We look forward to continued engagement with poets, scholars, and sahr̥dayas, and hope this initiative will grow into a sustained platform for classical poetic expression.
