An All-India Level Poetry Competition in Sanskrit and Kannada
The Center for Indian Knowledge Systems, Chanakya University, is delighted to announce that submissions for Kartika Kavya Deepotsava 2025 are now closed.
The competition celebrates the rich poetic traditions of Sanskrit and Kannada, inviting participants from across the nation to express their creativity through themes such as Festivity, Plurality, Patriotism, Ancient Indian Temples and Their Current Fate, and The Colors of Indian Seasons, while also allowing reflections on other aspects of Indian culture.
We are pleased to share that we have received an overwhelming number of inspired entries from across India, reflecting exceptional talent, aesthetic sensibility, and deep devotion to India’s timeless poetic heritage.
Results
All submitted poems are currently under review by an expert jury.
Results will be announced on our website by the second week of December 2025.
Felicitation Ceremony
Winners and distinguished participants will be felicitated at Chanakya University, Bengaluru, during a special poets’ assembly (Kavya Goshti) to be held in February 2026.
