On 4th July, the University conducted the external evaluation of the Ideation and Design Thinking course undertaken by first-year B.Tech. students. The evaluation panel comprised distinguished faculty from RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru:
- Dr. Ramesh Sharma, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering
- Dr. Shylashree N, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Mr. Keshavamurthy Y.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering
As part of the course, students worked in teams to identify real-world problems and applied the principles of empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing to design innovative solutions.
Standout projects included seed paper innovations, automatic plant watering systems, and stool-cum-ladder prototypes, which impressed the evaluators with their creativity, practicality, and execution—remarkable achievements for first-year students.
The external panel shared valuable feedback and constructive insights, enriching the students’ learning experience and motivating them to refine their projects further while nurturing a deeper spirit of innovation.
