Dr. Rajesh Kumar Prasad received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian institute of Technology Kanpur. He is the recipient of best Ph.D. thesis award (2019) from International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (ISEES), India.

Prior to joining Chanakya University in 2025, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Prasad worked as Associate Professor and Head, Department of mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.

His area of research includes two broader aspects: (1) Laser based diagnostics and Laser combustion of gaseous fuelled Engines; (2) Engine Simulation: Combustion, Performance and Emissions.

He has published 9 peer reviewed journal papers, 3 book chapters and 2 international conference papers.

He is a lifetime member of ISEES.
