EXBO’ 24, was held in the heart of the library, providing a vibrant space for students, faculty, and book enthusiasts to explore a world of literature. The event brought together three carefully selected book vendors, each showcasing a diverse collection of books that spanned various genres and subjects, making it a remarkable occasion for anyone with an interest in reading and knowledge. EXBO’24 was not just about books- it was an opportunity to enrich the university’s library collection. Students were encouraged to engage with the vendors, explore a wide range of topics, and recommend books that they felt would benefit the academic and personal growth of the University community. The event emphasised that the library is not just a space for curriculum-based texts but a hub for books that foster intellectual and personal development. The exhibition was officially inaugurated by our esteemed Chancellor, Padmashri awardee Prof. M K Sridhar, alongside Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yashavantha Dongre. The event was further graced by the presence of faculty members and a large turnout of students, all eager to immerse themselves in the world of books. The highlight of the day was the official launch of the University’s ‘Automated Library System’, a significant step toward modernising the way students and faculty access library resources. A live demonstration of the new system was held, offering attendees a firsthand look at how the technology would enhance their experience by making it easier to locate, borrow, and manage books. |
