Chanakya University had organised a comprehensive Orientation Program for all
the founding staff at the University. The first phase of the orientation programme
was an immersive residential event spread over three days from 22nd to 24th July
2022 at JanasevaVidyakendra, Chennenhalli, Magadi Road, Bengaluru.
The first day focused on the dynamics of team bonding and building led by Colonel Ravi. It was an experiential learning programme filled with great learning.
The second day, led by Prof. B. Mahadevan from IIMB focused on understanding
the purpose and vision of theUniversity. The third day started with a brief session
by the members of the Steering Committee which includes Prof. M. K. Sridhar, Chancellor, CU, Sri M. P. Kumar, Pro-Chancellor, CU, Sri Nagaraj Reddy, Secretary, CESS, Prof. K. V. Raju, Dean of Research, CU and Dr. Vinayachandra Banavathy,
Join Secretary, CESS addressing on the genesis and journey of the University so
far. This was followedby a motivational talk by Sri T. V. Mohandas Pai, Chairman,
Manipal Global Education Services, member Board of Governors, CU who focused on the global educational scenario and the promise Chanakya University holds. In the concluding session Sri Anurag Behar, CEO, of Azim Premji Foundation, shared his experiences and challenges of establishing a University and extended all guidanceandsupport.
About 55 members including both teaching and non-teaching staff participated
in this wonderful orientation programme with great enthusiasm and renowned motivation. Prof. Yashavantha Dongre, Vice Chancellor, along with Prof. Rajendra Joshi and other senior members of the academic team had designed this uniqueorientation programme.
