The Inaugural programme of the first batch of Chanakya University was held on
22.08.2022 at the Brigade Orchards campus. There was a jubilant mood at the campus as the staff welcomed the pioneering batch of students and their parents. The inaugural session formally started at 11 am, with Dr. Bhavani, Associate Prof.essor, School of Commerce & Management anchoring the event and Ms. Sai Swaroopa leading with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati. The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, the Deans and representatives of students and parents.
The inaugural address was delivered by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yashawantha Dongre.In his inaugural speech, he welcomed the first batch and thanked the parents for reposing their faith in the University, and ensured that their children would get worldclass education and learning experience. He also explained in brief about the idea of liberal education and National Education Policy 2020. This was followed by brief addresses from Prof. K. V. Raju, Prof. Ashok H. S., Prof. Rajesh Kumar and Prof. Venkatesh who are the Deans of Research, Humanities, Commerce & Management and Sciences respectively.
Dr. Vinayachandra Banavathy, Joint Secretary of CESS and Director of Communications,Chanakya University thanked the parents and students for selecting this institution and welcomed them to the Chanakya family. He also congratulated the University leadership and the team on behalf of CESS, the sponsoring body of the University.
