Guidelines for Visiting Guest Faculty
Chanakya University (CU) values academic exchange and cross-cultural collaboration. If you are a faculty member interested in visiting or joining CU for academic purposes, here’s what you need to know:
Opportunities
- Exchange Visit (less than 3 months): Ideal for ultra-short-term academic exchanges.
- Short-Term Engagement (3-6 months): For faculty interested in collaborative teaching or research.
- Long-Term Engagement (6 months to 3 years): Extended stays to integrate into CU’s academic community.
How to Approach
- Identify a Host Department: Collaborate with a CU faculty member from your academic field who can guide your visit and act as a host.
- Formal Invitation: Once your interest is acknowledged, the host department will initiate the formal invitation process, ensuring all administrative requirements are met, including visa support and documentation.
- Work Permits and Financial Support: Based on the type of engagement (exchange, short-term, or long-term), the university will assist with necessary visas and offer financial support, if applicable.
Onboarding & Accommodation
- Temporary Housing: Short-term visitors can avail of guest rooms or faculty hostels if available, while long-term visitors receive support in finding housing.
- Mentorship & Integration: Your host faculty will help with acclimation and provide ongoing support to make your visit successful.
