Dr. Rajendra Bandi is a Professor and Dean of the School of Management Sciences, Chanakya University.
He has been a faculty at IIM Bangalore, from 1998 to 2025. At IIM Bangalore, Professor Bandi held multiple roles such as the Dean Administration (2020 – 2023), member of the Board of Governors (2018 – 2020), Convener for CAT – the Common Admissions Test (2016), Chairperson for admissions & financial aid, Chairperson Centre for Software and IT Management, Chairperson Post Graduate Program in Software Enterprise Management, etc.
He has also taught at the college of Business in Georgia State University, and was a founding faculty member at Florida Gulf Coast University. Prof Bandi has also been a Visiting Professor at University of Cologne Germany, University Carlos III of Madrid Spain, Hanoi School of Business Vietnam, IIM Tiruchirappalli India, IIM Visakhapatnam India and XLRI School of Management, Jamshedpur India.
His work focuses on Managing Digital Transformation, Information Ethics & Privacy, Social Impact of ICTs, and Trust in Sharing Economy / Platform Business Models. He has been a recipient of awards for Best Case, Best Conference Paper, Best Elective etc.
Dr. Bandi has done his graduate and undergraduate studies from XLRI Jamshedpur and the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur respectively; and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University, USA. He is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Alumnus Award from NIT Jamshedpur.
