Aerospace Engineering

My fascination with engineering began with a deep curiosity about how energy and materials interact to make motion and flight possible. During my undergraduate studies, I was introduced to the intricate relationships between fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials. These fields soon became the foundation of my research interest. My undergraduate projects, such as the design and optimization of a 3D wing and the development of novel propellant grain configurations, helped me appreciate the importance of combining theory with practical design tools like CATIA V5, ANSYS, and MATLAB. Pursuing my Masters in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Leicester allowed me to deepen this understanding through advanced courses and research in computational fluid dynamics, gas turbines, and spacecraft systems. My project on swirling flow modelling, using StarCCM+, reinforced my passion for simulation-driven innovation and the power of research in improving system performance and efficiency.

My current work involves mentoring students on projects related to satellites, electric vehicles, and Formula Bharath, while also contributing to the establishment of laboratories and workshops. This environment allows me to translate my academic learning into hands-on applications, guiding students in connecting design, analysis, and experimentation. My current research focus lies in integrating thermodynamic optimization with material behaviour, especially in the context of defence and energy systems. I also continue to explore CAD-based design as a medium for creativity and innovation—where practical engineering meets imagination.

Looking ahead, I aspire to advance research in sustainable propulsion and high-efficiency thermal systems. I aim to study new materials and cooling methods that enhance structural performance while minimizing environmental impact. My long-term goal is to establish a collaborative research ecosystem that bridges academia and industry, fostering projects that combine computational modelling, material science, and thermodynamics to design the next generation of aerospace and energy systems. Ultimately, my quest is to contribute to a future where engineering solutions are not only technologically superior but also sustainable and accessible.
