Women’s Writings in Sanskrit
To make the season of festivals more exciting and enriching, the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems at Chanakya University brings an online lecture series titled ‘Women’s Writings in Sanskrit’ spread across the month of November this year.
This initiative aims to explore and appreciate the poetic merits and other salient features in the writings of women in Sanskrit. Upon a survey of numerous works authored by women, one will appreciate that women writers have significantly contributed towards the enrichment of Sanskrit language and literature. One of the important outcomes of this series is to help develop appreciation of this less known aspect of Sanskrit literary tradition.
All are welcome.
