Brief Description
The course provides a comprehensive overview of the aesthetic traditions of India and the West. Allied art forms such as literature, sculpture, painting, dance, drama, and music will be examined with reference to their governing principles. The perspectives of major aestheticians on the creation and enjoyment of art will be discussed through original texts.
