Chanakya University proudly celebrated the 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, marking a significant occasion in India’s democratic journey. The grand event was graced by Sri C. V. Gopinath, IES (Retd.), Former Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Communications, Government of India. The celebration took place on the Global Campus of the University with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, staff, and invited dignitaries. The day began with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony led by Sri C.V. Gopinath. As the tricolor was unfurled, the national anthem resonated through the campus, evoking a deep sense of pride and patriotism among the attendees. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the entire university community stood united in reverence to the ideals of India’s Constitution and the values that it upholds. In his address, Sri Gopinath delivered an insightful and inspiring speech that emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and progress in the development of the nation. Drawing upon his vast experience in the public sector, he highlighted the role of communication, technology, and infrastructure in shaping the nation’s future. He stressed that it is the collective responsibility of citizens, particularly the youth, to contribute to the progress of the country through education, innovation, and leadership. As part of the Republic Day celebration, a vibrant NCC (National Cadet Corps) parade was held, showcasing the discipline, dedication, and patriotism of the university’s cadets. The parade, which was a highlight of the day’s events, was led by the NCC officers and participated by a contingent of students from various disciplines. Dressed in their crisp uniforms, the cadets demonstrated impeccable coordination and march, symbolizing the strength and unity of the nation. The Republic Day celebration at Chanakya University served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the importance of preserving the democratic ideals of justice, equality, and liberty. Prof. Yashavatha Dongre, Vice-Chancellor, acknowledged the contributions of the staff, students, and all involved in making the celebration a resounding success.
