My primary area of interest is focused on role of legislations in the field of recent technological developments. The rapid growth of technology has raised the demand for establishing a stronger legal protection to the potential threats that are posed by these developments. Additionally, it is essential to evaluate the extent to which the use of technology is to be made in certain domains and the awareness of the potential threats among the users of the same. One of the outcomes of the research that I conducted, indicates that there is less awareness regarding the legal rights and enforcement mechanisms among the users; many users are more focused towards the convenience that technology gives them rather than making an attempt to understand the other consequences of the usage of the same. In this context, it is also essential to examine the role of government in regulating and managing the complications and risks posed by service providers and users of the evolving technologies. Despite the efforts from various governments as well as the international organisations, it has been evidenced that instances where technology poses risk are high. This calls in for constant evolvement of legal mechanisms to control and regulate the negative consequences of use of technology to match the pace at which it is expanding.
