Prof Seungkwon Jang

Seungkwon Jang holds the position of Professor of Organization Theory at Sungkonghoe University (Seoul, Korea), where he teaches co-operative management at the Graduate School’s the Department of Management of Co-operatives. In 1994, he obtained his Ph.D. in Organization Theory from Lancaster University in the UK. His research interests include organizational theory, innovation, strategy, management of information systems, co-operative management, Fair Trade, and social solidarity economy. He has written research articles in Korean and international journals, as well as edited numerous books on co-operative management in both Korean and English, including The Management of Consumer Co-operatives in Korea: Identity, Participation, and Sustainability (Routledge, 2020). He served as President of the Korean Society for Cooperative Studies (KSCS) and as Chair of the Korea Fair Trade Towns Steering Committee (KFTTSC).
