A Special CPR Training Programme was successfully conducted on 23 April 2026 (14:00–17:00 hrs) for faculty and staff members, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and Rangers & Rovers students. The session witnessed active participation from 70 attendees, aiming to build awareness and equip participants with essential life-saving and emergency response skills.
The training was led by Dr. Srinivasa from Rashtrotthana Hospital, who served as the chief resource person. He delivered an engaging and informative session on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and emergency care techniques, emphasizing the importance of timely intervention during critical situations such as cardiac arrest, breathing difficulties, and unconsciousness.
Dr. Srinivasa provided a practical demonstration of CPR techniques, guiding participants through key steps including checking responsiveness, calling for medical assistance, performing chest compressions, and administering rescue breaths. He also stressed the importance of remaining calm, alert, and confident while responding to emergencies.
Participants showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged in hands-on practice sessions, gaining valuable real-time experience under expert supervision. The programme significantly enhanced their confidence, preparedness, and sense of responsibility in handling emergency situations.
