Chanakya University Basketball women’s team represented in AIU South Zone Interuniversity Basketball Championship for women’s organised by Christ University Bangalore and marched till third round and faced University of Kerala in pre quarterfinals.
Badminton
Chanakya University, Bangalore participated in the South Zone Inter-University Badminton Tournament held at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, from 06th to 10th January 2026. The team was guided by Coach Mr. Hemanth N. V., Assistant Professor, along with Dr. Basavaraj Kumasi, Assistant Professor, who served as the Team Manager. The participation provided valuable competitive exposure at the South Zone level and contributed to the development of the players’ performance and experience.
Chanakya Premier League – Season 02
The Chanakya Premier League ran its second season from 13th to 28th February 2026 at the Chanakya University Global Campus Cricket Ground, Devanahalli. Five teams, Takshashila Titans, Magadha Lions, Maurya Emperors, Chalukya Challengers and Visionary Warriors, competed in a round-robin league followed by playoff matches, producing twelve fixtures over the fortnight. The stands were well attended by students, faculty and staff throughout.
The Eliminator Match between Magadha Lions and Visionary Warriors went to the Lions, who then faced Takshashila Titans in the final on 28th February. The Titans won by 5 wickets.
Individual awards: Prof. Hemanth NV took Best Batsman and Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, scoring 207 runs across 5 innings at an average of 103.50. Mr. Natesh CG won Best Bowler with 12 wickets at an economy of 5.27. Mr. Vidyasagar took Best Fielder with 5 dismissals. The Fair Play Award went to Visionary Warriors.
