Sandigdha – A Theatrical Exploration of Conflict, Choice, and Conscience

Sandigdha is a Kannada theatrical production directed by Sri Akshar K N and written by Sri Keshava Chandra, exploring the emotional tensions and moral dilemmas within a family. Rather than offering easy answers, the play embraces ambiguity, questioning whose truth prevails when perspectives clash. Performed by Chanakya University’s theatre group Drushyantara, the production journeyed from campus stages to the BaRangam International Theatre Festival and a ticketed commercial show in Bengaluru. Driven by a team of 15–20 dedicated students, Sandigdha represents a powerful shift, positioning university theatre as a serious artistic and cultural contribution that lingers long after the curtain falls.
