Course Objectives

The course aims to:

  • Introduce learners to the foundational principles of Indian Knowledge Systems.
  • Explore key texts, traditions, and thinkers from ancient to pre-modern India.
  • Demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of Indian intellectual heritage.
  • Encourage comparative and critical perspectives between Indian and other knowledge systems.
  • Provide tools for contextual interpretation of IKS in contemporary settings.
