Indic Humanities, Stony Brook University, USA, as the distinguished speaker, who was introduced by Prof. M.S. Chaitra, Director, CSC. The speech focused on the decolonisation and what entails as the methodological approach to study and reflect on the social scientific enterprise’s limitations. Prof. Timalsina passionately argued that this
requires a comparative approach, and intellectual silos is no solution to the decolonisation questions. He presented his own research in the field of comparative philosophy as an example of critical reflection and engagement with the Western tradition of thought. Professor also answered the participants questions which were spread across the fields of sociology, language, political science and critical engagement with enthusiasm and erudition. The lecture was attended by over 35 participants including research scholars, faculty and other guests.
