Born in Dharwad in 1970, she demonstrated prodigious talent from a young age, receiving blessings from legends like Naushad and Mother Teresa, and began her formal musical journey under eminent gurus, including Pt. Basavaraj Rajguru and Padma Vibhushan Kishori Amonkar.
She is known for seamlessly blending styles from Kirana, Gwalior, and Jaipur-Atrauli gharanas, captivating audiences with her versatile presentations and profound command of raga exploration. Sangeeta has performed thousands of solo concerts globally, gracing prestigious festivals such as Sawai Gandharva Sangeetotsav, Mysore Dasara, Hampi Utsav, and international platforms including events in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East.
