Sri Sajjan Jindal, widely known as the Man of Steel, is the Chairman of JSW Group, one of India’s largest and most diversified industrial conglomerates. An accomplished industrialist, he began his entrepreneurial journey in 1982 with a single steel plant, and today leads a USD 12‑billion infrastructure group with strong presence across steel, energy, cement, ports, and infrastructure.
Under his leadership, JSW Steel has grown into India’s largest steel producer, while JSW Energy and JSW Cement rank among the country’s leading players in their respective sectors. His success is rooted in resilience, calculated risk‑taking, and an unwavering commitment to long‑term growth.
Mr. Jindal has played a key role in shaping global steel policies, serving as a Council Member of the Indian Institute of Metals, a former Chairman of the Sustainability Committee of the World Steel Association, and former President of the Institute of Steel Development and Growth. In recognition of his vision, he received the Willy Korf–Ken Iverson Steel Vision Award in 2009.
