Sri. Ricky Kej

Sri Ricky Kej is an internationally acclaimed Indian music composer and environmentalist, and a three‑time Grammy® Award winner, four‑time nominee, and Padma Shri awardee. A US Billboard #1 artist, United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and former GQ Man of the Year, he is globally recognized for using music as a force for social and environmental change. Ricky has performed at prestigious venues in over 35 countries, including the United Nations Headquarters in New York and Geneva.
His prolific body of work includes 26 internationally released studio albums, music for over 3,500 television and radio commercials, and eight feature films, notably the acclaimed natural history documentary Wild Karnataka, narrated by Sir David Attenborough. He also composed the music for the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup 2011.
Ricky’s humanitarian recognitions include the UN’s Global Humanitarian Artist award and honours from the Parliament of Canada. A chapter on his life is included in Indian school textbooks, and he is a Professor at the National Institute of Advanced Studies.
