Statistics Using Jamovi

A one-day immersive workshop on Statistics Using Jamovi was successfully conducted at Chanakya University. The workshop was organized by Mr. Ajay Chandra and facilitated by Dr. Kiran Babu, Associate Professor, REVA University, who brought his expertise and practical insights to the session.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 50 attendees, including undergraduate and postgraduate students from Psychology, students of Public Policy, PhD scholars, and a few faculty and staff members. Designed as a hands-on and highly interactive learning experience, the program introduced participants to the fundamentals of statistical analysis using Jamovi, an open-source statistical software widely used in academic research.

Throughout the day, Dr. Kiran Babu guided participants through key statistical concepts and demonstrated their application using real datasets. The workshop emphasized experiential learning, allowing participants to actively engage with the software, perform analyses, interpret outputs, and clarify doubts in real time.

The interactive format encouraged curiosity, discussion, and collaborative learning. Participants particularly appreciated the practical approach and the opportunity to explore statistical tools independently. The session successfully demystified statistics for many learners and enhanced their confidence in data analysis. Overall, the workshop was well received and provided a valuable platform for developing research and analytical skills.
