Guidelines for Foreign/NRI Students
Student Visa (Visa Type ‘S’): Foreign students need to obtain a Student Visa (Visa Type ‘S’) from the Indian embassy or consulate in their home country before traveling to India for educational purposes.
Educational Qualifications: Foreign students must meet the eligibility criteria for the program they wish to apply. This includes academic qualifications equivalent to Indian standards, such as completion of secondary education for undergraduate programs and a relevant undergraduate degree for postgraduate programs.
Equivalence of Qualifications: Students may have to obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as advised by the university.
Admission Process: The students are required to submit an application form along with required documents such as academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and proof of financial support.
Entrance Examinations: The student must take entrance examinations conducted by the university Chanakya University Pravesha Pareeksha (CUPP) or any other entrance test as guided by the admission division of the university, which will be followed by a personal interview. Based on the performance in the entrance examination and personal interview, the offer letter will be issued by the university.
Financial Support: Students must demonstrate that they have the financial means to cover tuition fee, living expenses, and other costs associated with studying in India. Students may need to provide proof of sufficient funds or scholarship awards to support their studies.
Fee Structure: Fee to be paid in US $ to the designated bank account mentioned in the University website.
Health and Term Insurance: Foreign students are required to have health and Term insurance coverage for the duration of their stay in India.
Medical Tests: The candidate must undergo the prescribed Health checkup advised by the University within the prescribed time. If any adverse medical reports are found, the provisional admission may be revoked and cancelled. The medical examination reports are crucial for the confirmation of student admission. All foreign nationals seeking admission to the university are strictly required to comply with this mandate.
Residential Permit: Upon arrival in India, foreign students need to register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within the prescribed time frame to obtain a residential permit.
Cultural Sensitivity: Foreign students should familiarize themselves with Indian cultural norms and customs to ensure a smooth transition and respectful interaction with the local community.
