With more than a decade of experience in teaching Media Studies at reputed institutions like CHRIST and SRM universities, Rajesh is coordinating the Journalism and Digital Media Programme at Chanakya University. His area of specialisation includes Political Communication, Social Media Studies, Ecological Discourses and Development Communication. He has published a working paper on contemporary Dravidian politics in Tamil Nadu. He writes for periodicals about the current state of politics and issues concerning Tamil Nadu.
He has guided research scholars in the areas of media coverage of elections, reality shows, representation in films and social media studies. Have completed a project titled – New – Wave Regionalism in Tamil Nadu: A Case Study of Jallikattu, Anti-NEET and Central Projects funded by the Indian Council of Social Science and Research (ICSSR).
