A group of 30 students, accompanied by two faculty members from Vishwa Vidyapeeth, visited Chanakya University. During their visit, they attended an engaging lecture on Astral Science delivered by Prof. Ramakrishna Pejathaya. The session was highly interactive, allowing students to ask questions and receive detailed responses from the Professor.
The lecture provided valuable insights into astrology, astronomy, and their relevance in understanding natural phenomena in the universe. Prof. Pejathaya explained that Jyotiṣa refers to the study of celestial bodies and their influence. He also highlighted the uniqueness of the Indian astronomical tradition, which is based on careful observation of natural events and celestial movements to determine solar and lunar calendars. Students found the session both informative and thought-provoking, gaining a deeper appreciation of India’s rich scientific heritage.
