What you’ll do
This is a 6-day immersive introduction to natural history and wildlife photography through experiential, field-driven learning. The course positions photography not merely as a technical skill, but as a medium for storytelling, observation, and environmental inquiry. You’ll define your own themes and co-create knowledge through exploration, with the instructor acting as a mentor guiding inquiry.
What you’ll cover
- Introduction to natural history and wildlife photography
- Basic photography techniques
- The science of wildlife
- Advanced wildlife photography
- Environmental awareness and conservation
- Portfolio development and project work
- Career paths and future opportunities
- Fieldwork and practical training (8 hours)
- Nature walks and safaris (10 hours of field photography)
Total course time: 30 hours across 6 days.
What you’ll make
Each team will create a Photo Story or Visual Narrative Series, presented as a digital or physical exhibit on the final day.
