The Chanakya Fellowship in Social Sciences (CFSS) held its three-day Induction Program from October 15–17, 2025, at Chanakya University, Bengaluru, welcoming the new cohort of fellows. Representing eight states and diverse academic and professional backgrounds, the fellows embody the fellowship’s mission of nurturing socially conscious, interdisciplinary leaders.
The program opened with addresses by Prof. H. S. Subramanya, who emphasized curiosity-driven learning and collaboration, and Prof. Sushant T. Joshi, who outlined the university’s academic values of integrity and accountability. Prof. Sandeep Nair’s session, “Namaste Chanakya,” introduced the university’s vision rooted in Jnana (Wisdom), Iccha (Will), and Kriya (Action), while Dr. Vinayachandra Banavathy highlighted the relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems in addressing modern challenges.
Subsequent sessions led by the Student Affairs team covered academic life, career opportunities, and student engagement through clubs, wellness programs, and experiential learning activities. Interactive workshops enhanced leadership, empathy, and teamwork among fellows, fostering community and collaboration.
The program culminated in a Valedictory Address by Padma Shri Prof. M. K. Sridhar, Founder Chancellor, who emphasized the vital role of social sciences in nation-building and the integration of Indic values into contemporary education. He encouraged fellows to pursue excellence with ethical and cultural awareness.
Concluding with gratitude from the CFSS Program Team, the induction marked the beginning of an enriching academic journey—anchored in intellectual curiosity, empathy, and purpose-driven action—preparing fellows to contribute meaningfully to society.
