EXBO’25: Campus Book Exhibition

The Chanakya University Library organized the second edition of its annual book exhibition, EXBO’25, on 18 and 19 September 2025. The event brought together publishers, vendors, students, faculty, and staff, with more than 8,000 books on display across disciplines and interests. The collection included textbooks, research monographs, reference works, and general reading titles.

The inauguration took place on 18 September at 11:00 a.m. in the library premises. Prof. Yashavantha Dongre, Vice Chancellor, presided as Chief Guest. The session opened with a welcome by Sri B. P. Prakash, Library Advisor, who outlined the objectives of the exhibition. Prof. Dongre, in his address, spoke on the continuing relevance of books and the role of such events in connecting the university community with the publishing industry.

Five publishers and vendors participated: Educational Supplies, Rashtrothana Publications, Sri Book World, Standard Book Company, and The Mythic Society. Their stalls offered a range of titles, including academic works, regional literature, and general interest books. Faculty and students engaged with publishers, explored new releases, and suggested titles for library acquisition.

A Kannada section featured literary works, biographies, historical texts, and academic resources. Discounts of up to 50% were offered, encouraging wider access. Faculty, staff, and students actively browsed the displays and identified resources for teaching, research, and personal reading.

The exhibition was coordinated by the Library team with support from Communication and Administrative teams. With strong participation and diverse offerings, EXBO’25 reinforced the role of the Library as a central space for academic engagement.
